It's beat to hell and back but still starts up every time and gets me 45 mpg hwy :thumbsup:

Needs a new catalytic converter though. There's a hole in the current one and it sounds like I have a ricer exhaust with even the slightest of throttle

That was an obscure reference to a video posted here a while back. The video was called 5spdgirl and in it a very attractive young woman did things to/with the shifter of a Nissan (it may have been a Sentra).

Here's the deal.

The good-
45 mpg hwy
front tires have less than 10k miles on it
clutch replaced 35k miles ago
sparks/wires/distributor replaced 15k miles ago
front brake rotors and pads replaced 15k miles ago (a bit of sticking and squealing, did brakes myself for the first time)

The bad- (mostly minor stuff other than the cat)
Usual dings/dents/rust
AC not cold - needs recharge and leak fixed
cruise control not working
catalytic converter

KBB quoted about $1855 for a 96 Sentra GXE 5 speed in fair condition (I adjusted for mileage and options, or lack of), which is not the condition it's in of course.
I called Nissan and because it's a CA emissions vehicle (universal replacements will not work apparently), they wanted $800 to replace the cat.
I've thought about going to a muffler shop to just get the hole patched and welded for a lot cheaper.
But since I moved to the city without a parking spot, I cannot juggle 2 cars so this one is the one going.

So.... $1800 - 800 = $1000.
After ATOT discount, I was thinking $900

it was a 3000gt, and it was one of FTV's girls, he made that video for 3si, where he is a frequent member.
