Anyone in NYC going snowboarding?

My first winter in the city, and Im looking for a way to get to the slopes. Right about now, Id take just about any slope. Anyone planning on going this weekend? Yes I have money to pay for gas.

for nearest mountain from NYC, how far awar is it?

it's like 45 min driving moderately,
my driving it takes about 30 min.

Mountain Creek would be your best bet. I'm actually planning to go this week. Not too definite, but if I don't get loads of work to do, i'll definitely go.

Supposed to be going to mountain creek this weekend....gotta get my wax temps right....i've been putting on my leftover toko waxes....i lost the box so all i have is green, pink, and yellow. I seem to recall green was for the cold stuff...I'd offer a ride, but my car is full.

where are you guys located. I live in Manhattan, but I can take a bus or something out to Jersey. I just need to get back to snowboarding.

around the tristate area, I'd say mountain creek and Hunter Mountain is the best bet.

All the other ones are kinda small.
If you're in NJ/NYC, Mountain Creek, then Hidden Valley.

Hunter on the weekends is always packed but at least they fixed their bathrooms.(you'd prefer to pee in the sink after seeing the condition of those toilets)...haven't been to mountain creek in awhile.

I really like Hunter way better, cuz they got better snow, and better trails but I don't feel like driving 1.5 - 2 hours there, Snowboard for the whole day and drive back tired

I bet all the parents will be bringing out their young ones to teach them to ski/snowboard this weekend...

But I still want to go.
