I'm down the street at starbucks now. the line was ridiculously long...halfway down 48th. i didn't even try, have to meet some people for a movie. The highlight of the line was 2 middle aged guys at the end of the line playing their ds lites.

Anyone get in there or know what game the kiosks have? I'm going to try again Monday morning, i have a meeting down the street.

Any report on what other games besides Wii Sports were there (if any)?

Wow, I was supposed to go to NYC with the wife today for some camera show and I told her we had to go to the Nintendo store too... didn't even know they were going to have Wiis there. Ended up not going though. :(

Went today. Played Wii Sports bowling. It was fun! Got the hang of it after 2-3 sets, but I had to make it quick because I had to get back to the office. They didn't have any nunchuks hooked up, so it was just Wii Sports (with the exception of boxing). I was really hoping they'd have Zelda. :( Wishful thinking I guess. Wii Sports was exactly as I expected it, but I really want to see how the controller works for more conventional games.

Gamespots are supposed to be getting kiosks set up now as well, I'm going to check the one by my apartment on the way home. The one I read about had Excite Truck, which I'm not hyped about, but would love to give a whirl for the hell of it.

Did you get to play tennis? I'm hearing conflicting reports of whether or not you can put different spin on the ball by rotating your wrist, any comments?

I know thats true for Wii Baseball as me and Yoda found out different throwing motions/flicks of the wrist produced different drops and spins on the ball....

Nope, just bowling. I'll probably go back at least one more time this week (my office is only 9 blocks away) and find out.

Although I did watch an older Swedish (or something) gentleman play tennis and I saw some shots that looked like they had some spin on them. But most of the time, he was just smashing the crap out of the ball. Really, the Nintendo rep was telling him to calm down, but he didn't understand. He looked to be having a great time though!
