Anyone work with MVS/JCL/Cics regions and experienced with it? Also what kind of salary are you making?

I was a software developer at a bank at my previous job. J2EE + EJB + CICS + JDBC == $$$$ You can expect anywhere from $50k/year all the way up to $150k/year depending on location and experience.

If you're a COBOL programmer, I'd expect much lower salaries unless you're a superstar programmer. From your post-history here on AT, I'd say you weren't.

lol

No, I'm not a cobol programmer, but I was transferred from my previous IT department coding unix scripts, to working with mainframes. I enjoy working with JCL, but am still training, and out of everything pc/It oriented, I find learning this stuff very difficult. But I also enjoy working with it a lot more than with Unix and especially Windows.
