I was just wondering if anyone in here has done any MEL programming, and if so, what exactly was it for. I am just curious because I am thinking about learning it.
I have a computer science degree and do C++ programming, as well as an in house scripting language at my job. I have knowledge in other languages as well.
However I am thinking about getting a book to learn MEL a little better to try and get into a 3D graphics type job. I know how to use Maya a little bit to model, but I'm thinking a little bit more of the programming aspect of it with MEL.
So my question I guess is, has anyone ever done any MEL, and if so, what exactly did you use it for? Or what type of functionality in general it is used for with Maya?
