Anyone in games industry? Not development

I was thinking of going from the defense industry to the game development industry. Not so much the development side but more like the business support side - IT, corporate applications, etc.

Does anyone work in these areas for a game studio? I am assuming it's better than the development end but correct me if I'm wrong.
