Anyone in college every been to Ocean City, MD during July?

My buddies and i are going back down to OC this summer. We're going to go in July b/c we heard its "poppin" during that month. WE just dont know where to stay this time around. Last time we were next to a family of 4, and felt funny drinking in front of the kids.

We absolutly want an oceanfront room, so if you guys know of a hotel that usually has a younger population please let me know ASAP.

I'm fifteen years out of college and was in OC this last October...town was EMPTY, stayed at the Commodore in the captain's suite for like $85 a night, regular like $350, fifth floor, overlooked the beach and the boardwalk.......

I'm sure this doesn't help at all, but it was nice to stroll down memory lane......aaaahhhhhhhh

Any place on the boardwalk should be pretty good. The only thing you have to worry about is some of those places are pretty strict about not letting people have parties in their rooms. The events I know of specifically that are awesome this summer are:

Senior Week. I don't know exactly when this is, but it's always a blast, and should be late May/early June.

Gigantic Humongous car show: May 14-18 Cruisin' Ocean City
I went two years ago, and there were over 6000 cars there.

June 15-18 Maryland State Firemen's Association
This may not sound like much at first glance, but anyone who's been down there for Fireman's Week will tell you it rocks.

But, basically, any time during the summer is happening at Ocean City. I went down there in June and July last summer and had no complaints.

Edit: About the rooms...when I was down there in June last year for Fireman's Week, the guys I went down with had rooms on the Boardwalk. They weren't there two hours and got kicked out. We had to stay all the way up on 130th street. It wasn't too bad, though. The buses are good.

Ocean City is the Miami of the northeast.


I had the BEST time of my life last summer. We went a second time after the first.....b/c it was INSANE.

Seacrets is the best bar/club on the east coast.

Yeah, Senior week can be annoying. Too many kids running around. Usually, though, there are enough older people around down there to make it interesting, though.
