I'm considering this field for a career. I had a severe knee injury back in my early teens, and thanks to 2 years of strenuous rehab work (and a great PT), I was able to strengthen it back to having full use. So I guess you could say I'm inspired.
Becoming an assistant is usually only a 2-year course. And there happens to be a college with a program in my city. I say this because there are relatively so few available. For example in Oregon, only one place offers a PTA program. Anyway, demand seems very high, and average starting salary is just under 40K. Not bad for a 2-year course, I'd say. Although the competition is fierce.
Anyone here happen to be this field? I suppose if there are... they probably wouldn't be sitting at a computer right now.
