I finish grad school next sememster and am thinking about trying my hand at Technology or Knowledge transfer before I try my hand at A PhD.

I tried asking the graduate career services at my school and they couldn't even tell me where the technology transfer offices where! I know they are on campus somewhere.

anyone in the field want to give some advice about it? Like maybe: how you got your job, what you do, what the pay is like, and if you enjoy doing it?

thanks in advance

You have to have some knowledge to transfer first 😀
Seriously, WTF is knowledge transfer? I mean you can transfer knowledge from a smart guy to a dumb guy, but why do you need a middleman for that?

Its mostly process and documentation, but there are other aspects to it.

heres is an academia to industry definition

The Russell Group Universities define knowledge transfer as:
"activities (that) are concerned with the generation, use, application and exploitation of knowledge and other university capabilities outside academic environments"

But it has more to it than that. It can be applied across industries and within industries from one company to another and sometimes with in the same company.

here is a link http://www.kmresource.com/exp.htm

it explains about knowledge management.

I want to know: how do I get started in the field?
