This is my first phone interview, and I'm really wondering what I should expect. It's for a developer position.

EDIT: I guess they either really needed someone to fill the position or were impressed by me because they didn't even bring me in for a regular interview. They just called me today and notified me that I got the job, and to come in next Monday to start on all my paperwork, and that my official start date is Sept 17th. :beer:
 
The IRS doesn't exactly have the best reputation in the tech world. They ended up having to scrap a multibillion dollar system a few years ago. Just make sure it's not a CLM - career limiting move.

But if you want the job, good luck, my advice is to be honest in your answers. I hate being b.s.ed when I interview somebody.

I understand what you mean, but I'm still in school and just trying to get any type of experience that I can. I'm only starting my junior year. 🙂

I swear I really do use my offshore speed boat and 3 limos strickly for my eBay business selling Xbox 360's. No need for an audit, none whatsoever:roll:

I dunno if the IRS works the same throughout the country, but here they usually hire sight unseen, then fire just as quick if you don't know your stuff.
