<< I think he's an employee? >>
She Rossman! carmann's visiting OT tonight.
No, I'm not an employee but I go to a few Target's everyday. I've gotten to know alot of the employees (I even went to one guys wedding) and they fill me in on the inner workings of Target. It's sad but I know how to do things that some of the employees don't even know how to do.
If the new store is across the street as you say, they'll move most of the merchandise. They won't move the stuff that would be due to go on clearance. The new stores don't want clearance merchandise in them right after they open. Normally when they open new stores, you won't find anything on clearance for quite awhile.
Here's something that may help some Target shoppers and alot of people (including employees) aren't aware of. When you scan something and it says the dreaded "not on file" the employees would always say you need to go to the cs desk and they can look up the price. You don't need to do this anymore. If you see someone with an lrt tell them the item scanned "nof" and you want to get the price. If they don't know how, here's what they need to do...
key in their employee number
then key in the letters n o f
scan the item
this will bring up the last/lowest price. They've had this capability for a few months now but alot of the employees aren't aware of it. I had to walk someone through this yesterday.
If after they scan it it says "item legal for store" this means someone on the markdown team needs to reactivate the dpc # for the item and it will be full price. If it says "illegal for store" same thing applies but the item may be lower.
