Starting pay here where I'm from is like 31k. Anyone here work as one? How is it? Benefits?

I think she said that it was about $12/hr to start. But that's in Macon, GA. She is thinking about moving to Washington, DC to make more money. Also I gather from what she says you can move up fairly quickly.
