I was told that the only time the regular tellers can look at your account information is when after they ask if you if you want your account balance and enter your pin. Otherwise they dont really see your information besides name, address, account #. Can anyone verify this claim? Does it depend on the bank?

That is total B.S. and yes it does vary from bank to bank depending on which DDA system they use.

Ours only requires:
Name
Account number
SSN/TIN

Well, I know for a fact that tellers can see more than that at Wells Fargo. Don't need to put in your PIN, they just need your card and it's all right there infront of them.

They can't modify it, though. Like, take overdraft fees off. Well, maybe they can, but aren't supposed to, or something.
