Subject says it all. Probably going to get a car in the next month or two. I have USAA for insurance and have always heard their loan rates are good. What was your rate?

Got a car for the wife last year ('03). USAA was as cheap as anyone else. But, the best thing about USAA is that you will NEVER have a customer service issue with them! Approval process took all of five minutes.

We've got our house and car insurance through them, as well as credit cards. Couldn't be happier.

I've done my insurance with them for years. I have used them for one Auto loan, normal rates, but exellent customer service.

I've gone through them twice to get approval prior to buying my last two cars but ended up going with dealer financing as they had a much lower rate. Best I could get through USAA was in around 4%. I was able to get 1.9% through the dealer.

Still, I have my homeowners, auto and life insurance through USAA. They can't be beat for coverage, service or price.

🙂 Ditto on what was said about the good insurance rates. I took out a pre-approved loan for a new car in DEC 2003 and got the going rate, then...think it was about 5-6%. Loan application to approval only took about 5 minutes as stated above...Ended up shredding the check...We decided not to buy a car....

Yeah, I have them for insurance and agree with the customer service, they've been great the few times I've had to talk to them. I saw something on the website when I was poking around saying that they'd match anyone's interest rates on autoloans and was wondering if that included individual dealers as well. I'll just have to call them up and see.

I HAVE had a car loan through USAA, and their service was excellent as always. My current car is paid off, but I got a better rate through Nissan USA, so I didn't use USAA.

Yeah, motorcycle insurance kind of sucks through them, but they told me on the phone that it's an area they're moving away from.

I just opened my checking account with them. The wife says I spend too much "play money" from our main account. USAA's checking accounts seem top notch.
