I've asked this before, but didnt get a satisfying answer....(yes its driving me crazy)

Suppose : I run mulit 10 x Fsb 250...With memclock set to 2 : 1 (remember..asus board), and i have DDR500 memory...
Then my Bench scores should be higher then with memclock set to Auto >(which i think is then divided, considering the FSB is raised?) right?...

What is up with that?? Anyone with an ASUS A8V deluxe rev2 could explain this to me?

Yes, reducing the multiplier of the CPU and raising the FSB to 250 will make it run faster.

But you'll get stuck at some point and hit a roadblock. My A8V gets stuck at 230mz at default multiplier. It's the Via K8T800 chipset that is the problem. No matter what I do, I can't get my FX53 (default is 2400) above 2800, and I'm watercooling it. Tried two sets of memory too. Wanna read about it, go here.

yes they should be, considering the bandwidth is 500mhz effective rather than @400... why.. have you found differently??? maybe the auto optimises memory timings then? i dont know...

yes indeed i have..my scores are much lower when memory set on 2 : 1 with multi 10 and FSB 250 ....

Its bugging me lol...could it be a bad bios flash or something??

According to a program ("A64 Tweaker") with memory set on AUTO, im running memclock 166 > which im pretty sure of, is divided...
