So many people try to use regular solder and do it pin by pin... it is much easier, even with a soldering iron instead of a hot air station, to lay down a small bead of solder paste then drag the iron tip across the pins. If you are somehow forced to use a spool of solder instead, put down a bead of liquid flux first, tin your iron tip with a "slight" excess, and only drag that across the pins.
