wired on desktop and wireless for my laptop with Netgear MR814 router and Sony slim antenna PCMCIA wireless card. Too bad power supply for the laptop is not wireless too, if it is ... it'd be the greatest!

got a Cisco 1200 series 802.11b/802.11a access point.
Nice unit and my 352 series cards run great with it at 100mw.

3 desktops wired, 2 laptops wireless.

Pretty cheap to do now and one of the greatest new things available. Speed doesnt seem to be an issue but I wouldnt do it for games.

No need to do it for desktops though unless you carry them around the house or to the pool.

Why not for games?

The speed of the wirless network isn't an issue unless you happen to game on a super fast server with a fat connection that is greater then 11mbps!

i have a Linksys router and USB Adapter... works EXCELLENT. hooked it up and worked from the getgo... i did absolutely no configuring..took me maybe 2 minutes tops to get it up and running. Granted the other computer is separted by 1 wall and is 10 meters away the signal is excellent and i have had no problem. i only use it for internet connection though and its great..transferring files is a major biach though.

i think next week ill return this linksys combo (too expensive) and get the refurb belkins
