Here is a summary from the website:

Wilderness Spirit Productions has been contracted to send its intrepid executive producer Les Stroud out into the wilderness once again. This time by Canada?s Outdoor Life Network and the Discovery Channel International. Wilderness Spirit Productions, in association with Dave Brady and Cream Productions (Chris Rolly), is producing a series (nine X one hours) entitled Survivorman TM. Les will be spending seven days alone without food, water or equipment saving his camera gear in: the Sonoran Desert, The Costa Rican jungle, the south Georgia swamps, the Arctic, the Boreal forest, the Rocky Mountains, the NW Pacific coast and the Utah Canyonlands. The ninth and final episode will take place in a raft on the ocean!

I like this show, but it is a little offbeat.

He even eats what he can catch: rabbit, squirrel, rat, insects, etc.

Yeah, that guy is nuts. It'd be cool to know that you can do it though.

I remember one episode where he was in the artic, on the last day of his ordeal. He was trying to hike out to the nearest settlement. He'd been walking for a couple of days and thought he was only a few hours out when he saw someone off his route. He decided to go out of his way to talk to them and it turned out he was WAY off course and nowhere near where he was supposed to be, like days and days away. I wonder what might have happened if he had not gone over to speak with them :Q
