I've started watching Parasyte on and off but I'm not sure I like it. I'll stick with it for a few more episodes. Anyone have an opinion on this one? Other ones in the line up are 'The Devil is a Part timer', 'Future Diary', 'Eureka Seven', and 'Black Butler 3'.
I liked all of them.

If you want a "Death Note" like plot progression, watch Parastye. For a more action-oriented take, watch Tokyo Ghoul.

Future Diary is a top-pick if you like yandere to the extreme. Make sure to watch the Redial OVA for a proper wrap-up (no dub for the OVA though if that is your thing).

Eureka Seven - nice story, characters, romance and action. Particularly like the 2nd OP

The Devil is a Part Timer - great rom-com. If you liked Demon King Daimao, Noragami, or Maoyu, you'll like this!

Thanks. But what is yandere. I googled it and as best as I can tell it's a story about a stalker who eliminates any girl that shows any interest in the boy she's stalking. You guys need to understand that I'm at best a dilettante by comparison to most of you in terms of the amount of anime that I've watched.

Yandere (ヤンデレ) is a Japanese term for a person who is initially very loving and gentle to someone (or at least innocent) before their devotion becomes destructive in nature, often through violence and/or brutality. The term is derived from the words yanderu (病んでる) meaning a mental or emotional illness, and deredere (でれでれ) meaning to show affection.

I've started watching Parasyte on and off but I'm not sure I like it.

I thought Parasyte was okay overall. It wasn't hard to see where the series would end up going, and it felt like the show just lost any steam as it went on.

'The Devil is a Part timer', 'Future Diary'

I still need to watch Mirai Nikki as I've heard a bit about it, and they're mostly good things.

Hataraku Maou-sama! was a favorite of mine back when it aired. It wasn't terribly original, but I think people tend to misunderstand tropes. Tropes are only bad when they're just so cookie-cutter that they aren't really interesting. If you get me a character that's somewhat stereotypical, but still interesting, that's okay. For example, the Nanatsu no Taizai series is pretty much as shounen as you get, but it's still a good series because it does things right. (Albeit, I think the anime was made to be far too short for how many chapters it covered.)

Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita was much better than devil is a partimer.

Eh, I disagree about that one. I watched it after Hataraku, and it just... seemed similar but with far more ecchi. There was another one that I watched after Hataraku that was about the demon king (a female) coming to the planet to help try to make it better along with the her that was supposed to slay her... Maou to Yuusha something or other.

Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is what you were thinking of. Pretty unique "Spice and Wolf" take on the whole "hero vs. devil lord" thing.

Quick rapid fire reply

Out of all you listed Parasyte is probably the best Anime from your list. You need to watch all of it. It gets really good after ep 6? (cant remember what ep)

Devil part timer is very very funny probably my top 5 all time comedy Anime.

Future diary is like Paratsye but in a game setting. Gore and violent. Most people will prefer Future Diary cuz yandere fetish and the better story.

Eureka seven is pure shit dont waste your time!!!!! There are better mech anime out there. Eureka Seven is so childish its sooo slow VERY slow. Some episodes you ask yourself ' is this ep filler or cannon' just dont watch it you thank me later :)

Black butter 3 - no idea havent seen it yet.

Didn't see it talked about in the past few pages and i don't wonder in here often but Kimi no Na Wa "Your Name" is very much worth seeing. https://myanimelist.net/anime/32281/Kimi_no_Na_wa

Very sold movie and is worth the insane amount of hype it has been getting - AFAIK its not showing in the US until later this year. I lucked out and Delta had it as an option on my flight to Asia

Same guy who did 5 centimeters per second, Garden of Words and Children of chase lost voices - all of which are also very good
The music is A*** i can play doki kataware on piano :D

I laughed out loud when 1701A made an appearance. Mind you I watched Devil is a partimer later than the other one so order probably played a role.

I laughed at a few jokes from devil king and hero but that is all I got from that series.

iirc people watch the online version and that version is the shitty quality version. Film like your name MUST be seen on the cinmena or wait for the 4k quality :D

*sigh* It's why I'm generally behind most folks who watch on Crunchy / KissAnime.
I can't tolerate bad audio/video quality (FLAC + 1080p please), and worse, crappy translation with bad / plain typesetting.
I'll wait for one of the good groups (GJM, Vivid, FFF, Tsundere, etc.) to do a BD release, but if push comes to shove, I'll roll up the sleeves and git 'er done myself.

IIRC, ShaqSalazar's releases are the ones that typically include TrueHD / DTS-MA. It would be nice if he didn't f*cking hardsub his name into the actual video stream (who the heck actually hardsubs nowadays?! Besides the crappy DeadFish/BakedFish/SpaceFish MP4 encodes)

To be fair, I will take 720p release IF the source was clearly non-1080p to begin with, but it better be 10-bit and have 24-bit FLAC :)

I'll hardsub in things for non anime. Like when there is random foreign speak in something that doesn't require a full sub track but that's it
