I tried the trial subscription on my PM8200 (Sprint). The dialogue sounded good but the video was not video..it was just pictures. Probably due to my non-video phone but I wasn't impressed.
 
Yeah, i remember when this was in beta. It worked pretty good, but if i recall, it uses up datarates, not voice mins.
 
The voice was very good and yeah, its more like a slideshow. My friend showed me true TV on Verizon via EVDO and THAT was pretty awesome. I'd assume Sprint's EVDO TV is just as good.
