Anyone here using LED lighting at home? For ambiant lighting projects

I'm curious if anyone here is into the led/fiber optic lighting? I just recently bought a foreclosure house (downsizing) that's a bit smaller than the one I live in and a whole lot cheaper. Since I saved so much on the home I want to go all out and give the house a modern/contemporary type of feel. I'm thinking for doing something similar to this:

This one is pretty sweet too, it's a coffee table with 32 infrared sensors. When the sensors pick up motion they activate the lights built into the table. I'm thinking this could be modified and installed inside of a baseboard, wall, bathroom cabinet, etc..

I'm going to be installing some led lighting under my kitchen cabinets after the holidays. That's about the extent of where I think it looks nice.

lol, that's not my first choice in the lighting arrangement but it does give you an idea of what's possible
