My system was using Win98se... i recently upgraded to WinXP.... ( full install not upgrade ) ....

the Internet Sharing program i was using was Sygate Home/Office network.. it worked great on my Win98... but it acted a bit strangely when i installed it on WinXP... i downloaded the latest version of Sygate ( to make it compatible with XP ).... after the installation and some configuration... sygate was up and running... problem is that it browsing through internet explorer and other browsers doesn't work on my other computers ... i tried IRC programs (mirc32) and it was fine... i launched IE again... and type an ftp address ( for example ftp://dagupan.com/pub/install.exe ) and the file was downloaded successfully... so the problem is that http doesn't work... i get a Web Site Found on the status bar on IE... but get's no response and gets a page not found after a min....

Why try an complecate matters... The built in ICS in Windows XP does a good job without adding stress to the resources.

I am using just the regular ICS in Windows XP and it has worked great so far, I have been able to access every thing without a problem.
