Anyone here using a Dell S2716DG?

As I have mentioned in another thread or two I am interested in upgrading to a 2560x1440 27" or larger (3440x1440 maybe?) monitor. It seems that the Dell S2716DG can be purchased for pretty decent prices from time to time, certainly cheaper than either Asus or Acer IPS offerings.

I have used TN panels in the past and never really had a problem with them. I currently have a Dell P2414 and I have never really gotten to the point where the IPS glow doesn't bother me a little, so going back to TN might not be the worst thing in the world. I do no professional work on this system at all. It is pretty much a gaming / surfing PC. I haven't seen much talk about this monitor, but I have always been pretty happy with Dell panels in the past.

The Dell U2715H doesn't look half bad either, but it doesn't have G-Sync or other gaming features which might be nice.

If solely looking for a gaming monitor i would get gsync for sure, or freesync, depending on GPU.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I'm not an online or competitive gamer, but I do use my PC for gaming. It seems like a waste to get something new without adaptive sync. It would be nice if these monitors supported both standards though. I am Nvidia right now, but it sort of sucks to get locked in due to a monitor choice.

That was my issue as well, which way to go with async.

So i purchased a RX480 to tie me over for a year or two, and a Dell 2515H(i do as much photo work as gaming anyways) And then in a year or two im replacing my whole rig and will get a dedicated gaming async monitor at that time, as well as a VR setup.

Hmm. I see Dell has this monitor for $300 off list price right now. Might have to go ahead and give it a shot.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger. I'll update this thread once it get delivered (couple of weeks) and I have had a chance to test everything out.
