Anyone here use the statistical programming language R?

My housemate is learning it and is looking for an irc channel, or something, to ask some relatively simple questions (that'd probably be too simple for the mailing list). Anyone have advice/pointers -- for an irc channel, forums, something along those lines?

Right now he's trying to loop through two vectors, finding all occasions where a value is present in both of the vectors.
