I've been using them since the Waterhouse days. I like the fact that they have local offices in addition to web and telephone access. Prices are reasonable. TD Waterhouse and Ameritrade are merging. I also use Ameritrade. No complaint with them either.

Thank you:thumbsup:

I was looking into Ameritrade as well, then I noticed the merge.

To become TD Amertitrade. Waterhouse just got the shaft on the name.

I have an account and only opened with them because they have a branch office in my area and trades used to be $12. now it's something like $18 unless you trade often then ity becomes $12. They also cap you at 2,500 shares, I hate that the most about them. I hope when they merge they'll remove the cap.

take a look at scot trade

They should have kept the Dominion name instead of changing it to TD, the coolness factor is immeasurable.

I've been using TD Waterhouse for years. Was using TD Greenline and then moved to the USA and started using Waterhouse. TB Bank bought Waterhouse and slowly improved their online tools. The merger with Ameritrade should be a further improvement.

TD Waterhouse actually gets a decent selection of IPOs.

They are okay. I don't think you will be dissapointed at all.
I just hate their commercials. I thought the artsy b/w, camera switching angles 12 times every 3 seconds bugs the hell out of me.
I know it's a silly rant, but OMG, it grates on me.

Good business hours 8-8 Mon-Fri, 8-5 Sat/Sun(or is it 3??), anyway, I bank with TD Canada Trust and am pleased. My bank is also right next door to my building, so I didn't really choose them, I just saw Bank and setup the account. :D
