Anyone here use a Vaio?

Is there a place on the hard drive where installers are normally stored like C:\ATI\SUPPORT for ATI drivers? I need to walk someone through reinstalling audio drivers and the model number doesen't come up on sony's website 😕

There are so many Vaios in the world - laptops, desktops, old, new, I'm sure it varies.

I'm actually pretty sure it won't....

ATi always puts drivers in the same path... as does nVidia, Via, Intel, Dell.... why would Sony be any different?

I don't know of any manufacturer that puts them all in one place like Dell does, to be honest. Most just have restore partitions or CDs/DVDs with no actual files you can run yourself.

If it's more than a year or 2 old, most likely it's on restore CDs or DVDs. I don't think they started putting restore files on the hard drive until more recently.

What do you need to reinstall?
