I'm curious to know if they really work or not.

Are they a good substitute to going to a dentist and having the good dr. whiten up your teeth?

I tried them. They give decent results. Nothing amazing or anything, but I think it was worth the $40. I could definitely see a difference.

Question is, are they a hinderance in the mouth?

Can people, say at work, easily notice that you have these on?

Do you talk funny with them on?

My dad's a dentist and I asked him about them....he said that he has looked in to them and the whitening agent in them is no way comprable to what he prescribes or to what he does to whiten teeth.

I do not think a retail product will ever be a substitute for the twice yearly dentist visit, because I really doubt the things from Crest are going to remove plaque that has built up, x-ray your teeth for cavities, or examine the other aspects of your teeth. I wouldn't even consider them a substitute for brushing, because they aren't really made to CLEAN your teeth, just somehow whiten them.

Oh really? Crest Whitestrips aren't a replacement for brushing your teeth? Or x-rays? Wow. I seriously need to reevaluate my dental hygeine!

you only leave them on for 30 minutes up to 2x a day, so there is no hinderance -- use it while you nef ;)

if anyone's interested in my disgusting mouth i'll send you a sample of top with white strips after 3 weeks and bottom without any.. :)

they work.. it's no bleach but they work.. worth the $35 IMO.. be sure to pick up a 'professional' kit on ebay for $35 or so..

you can talk normal.. they really aren't a big deal..

it comes with a 3 week supply instead of 2, a toothbrush and crest toothpaste.

strips are also supposedly slightly stronger than the regular ones

They worked for me. Not the white Tiger Woods teeth results that I wanted, but I could definitely see a difference. But yeah, I think I'll try one more time--this time with the professional system.

I tried them a year ago, definitely got noticeable results (which have since waned, so I'll ikely get them again soon.)

They're not really a hindrance, and aren't really visible to others, unless you're smiling. However, it did sound like I had a slight lisp when I talked with it in my mouth.

You only need to keep it on for 30 min., so I usually just did it while surfing the net/posting on AT.

Most of those are not good for your teeth, they are too strong. I dont know about the Crest strips though.

I had trays made at the dentists office and use a weak solution with them. My teeth got much whiter after only 5-6 uses. You squirt this gel into them and put them on for 30 min or so, although it is ok to leave them on overnight if you can sleep with them. The gel is about $50 for 5 (?) tubes, enough for about 8-10 uses. It costs a lot for the tray, but it is much better for your teeth. (tray was $500 :Q )
