Anyone here who is familiar and an expert on St. John's Wort herb or anyone here who has used it? I need substantial and factual information and testimonies regarding St. John's Wort safety and efficacy as a food supplement. Ive been researching about St. John's Wort and found out that some processing of St. John's Wort could have a MAO (Monoamine Oxidase) inhibiting effect which can ulitmately cause high blood pressure. The reason I would like to know more information about St. John's Wort is because Ive encountered a very promising food supplement (a Mangosteen food supplement) but the supplement has also other herbal and fruit ingredients together with it and one of the herbs included is St. John's Wort. Any expert in herbal supplement or any biochemist or chemist here who encountered St. John's Wort?
Moreover here is the list of the ingredients of the food supplement I discovered, feel free to comment on their effects and safety..
