Anyone here tried Chase's check deposit using an iphone?

Like any Apple endorsed product, it is simple, easy to use, and works beautifully. Yet another reason why the iPhone is better than everything else. Everyone knows this.

Chase is expanding quickly and adding so many options really fast.

I'm impressed, but I still love/hate them.

I have an account with the Evil Empire simply because of the ability to make ATM deposists of cash and checks. I doubt that I will be able to trust deposits made with a phone however. 🙁

No idea, but I use the USAA app with my Droid all the time and it works great. But USAA has been doing deposit@home for years.

I tried it out a few days ago for the first time, since I had a rewards check and I didn't want to make a trip to the ATM just for it. You'll need to go through a verification process the first time to authenticate your phone.

You take pictures of the front and back, though there's a delay until you're holding it steady. It'll verify the routing #, account #, and the amount with you. There's a limit of $1000 per day, $3000 per month. Pretty painless.

Umm what? Why wouldnt you trust a deposit made with your phone? Or why would you trust it any less than inserting into a machine?

Tried it last night on a new iPhone 4 (yay me). Had a check from a woman with impeccable handwriting for $90.00. The Chase app said that it couldn't verify the amount and said that the check was written for $0.00.

Got a call when I was trying to take a second photo, and haven't tried it again.

Thanks, Chase...
