anyone here the news about Bill Cosby yesterday?

purbeast0

No Lifer
i am just wondering because I saw the commercial for the story coming on the news while watching Lost yesterday, but i left my girlfriends hosue right at 11 when it was airing the news that was going to show the story.

it said he made some kind of another comment that was controversial. i was just curious if anyone knew what i'm talking about or if they have a link to the article, thanks.

i say bill cosby speaking his mind is good for the black community.

thanks, im going to read it now.

EDIT: wow, that was it? i thought it would have been something worse than that heh. that didn't sound all that bad, cept maybe he was telling everyone what they possibly were just denying.

anyways, thanks for the link, and this is somewhat local to me (i live near DC, this was in Baltimore) so I guess thats why i saw it on the news around here 🙂

If only more of "his people" would fall in behind him and create a movement rather than listening to those asshats Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

sad thing is younger blacks will probably disregard cosby as an "uncle tom". they won't hear his message and just turn on the latest rap album or watch cribs on mtv.

the black community needs more prominent, moral leaders like cosby, rather than tools like al sharpton.

Cosby said he has grown tired of black people using racism as an easy excuse for past and current failures.

bout fvcking time someone said it...

Yeah....all those blacks are racist

:disgust:

he didnt say all ... he is talking about the ones that complain about the way of living, and then use 'them being black' as the excuse for their way of living.

Yeah, black kids are too stupid.

how about, instead of typing one sarcastic line at a time, you try to contribute a coherent thought? do you disagree with cosby?

Bill Cosby should seriously look into doing a reality TV show on MTV or BET. Imagine taking a bunch of these black males that lack father figures and throw 'em into the "real world" so to speak, and see how they (hopefully) adapt and learn to accept it. I think it has potential, and would appeal to the people he'd want it to appeal to.

yea, seriously. and brackis, who were you before you got banned a few days ago?

My thoughts are coherant. You may have sentiments, but your comments when responded to sardonicly highlight underlying and unintentional racism.
I would say that still today blacks live with less opportunities, education, and poorer domestic environments than whites do, stemming from segregation, racism, and slavery.
Unequal means yields unequal outcome.

I am a new member of this forum, which I found via FW. I have never been banned, what would make you infer this?

that's where it seems like the difference of opinions lies. there are people like cosby who say the change must come from within the black community first. than there are those with your opinion who feel that the "system" is holding them down.

do you think it's one or the other? or do you think cosby is off base?

Your statements have contributed nothing to the discussion and only served to prove another point of his. The youth of today can't be engaged in an open, honest discussion without thinking it necessary to lash out and hide behind their own rhetoric and ignorance.

You took the bait. Again, I am being stereotyped as an ignorant and indifferent adolescant beacuse of an intentionally plebian retort.
This only further proves my point that people in general categorize people, which many times is based on race.
