Anyone here taken the CISSP recently?

I am set to take the CISSP exam on 5/23. I've been studying for about 3 weeks now, I think I am adequately prepared. I dont do any IT/IA work in my current role, but I did in my last job (about 2 years ago), so I have some relevant experience. Getting this cert will open up IA opportunities for me. I know its 250 multiple choice questions and its a 6 hour test, not looking forward to that!

CISSP is an important cert, in and of it self not a game changer.

I'm going to trust that you are familiar with the ISC2 Candidate Information Bulletin.

And, if you are taking the computerized version, that you are ready for the new style questions.

Many people find the cccure quizer at free practice tests.org to be valuable. (You should be scoring a minn of 80% on each of the ten domains there...)

Remember that 25 of the 250 questions are beta questions that won't count in your score. Remember also that there is no penalty for guessing. So be sure to answer all of the questions.

Be sure to bring the specific types of identification required to take the exam.

Be sure to read and understand each question and each answer.

The challenge of the CISSP exam is not the difficulty of the questions but the scope of the content.

Passed the exam just a few hours ago! I thought quite a few of the questions/answers were tricky, all the practice exams I took had slightly differently worded definitions from what the test asked for in some cases. Didn't get a final score, so don't know how I did exactly, but I passed and that's all that matters!!

I was in there for almost 6 hours, took 1-1.5 hours to review answers to all my questions, found some mistakes the 2nd time around.

I might add this to my list of certs. Recently got a Google Apps cert for giggles that may have opened a door to a kick ass job in the coming months.
