Anyone here take the Microsoft MCDST certification?

This is just a changed/updated post of mine. It originally asked what is the best method to study for the A+ certification is.

Anyways, Microsoft just came out with their new desktop support technician or something along those lines, MCDST, and I was wondering how many people here have attempted to test for this certificate and if so what books did you use to study?

I knowk the official material won't be out until mid-2004 which is a few more months from now.

Thanks!

This new certification just came out in October 2003.

I have taken the exams. They are actually quite good for testing how to troubleshoot Windows XP and applications running on Windows XP. As you mentioned, the Microsoft Press books won't be out until mid-2004, but you may want to take a look at exam simulation providers, such as Transcender or Self Test as they should have products out soon.

Good Luck!
