Blah!! I do medical transport and they put me on night shift. That pretty much leaves me assisting the emergency room skeleton crew from 10pm till 8am .... I'm loosing my mind !!!!! Nurse's and doctors are the most boring human beings I've ever been around and there's no warm food being served until 7am when I'm to tired to eat 😡. Unless someone comes in with gun shot wounds or missing limbs they have *ZERO* work for me.

Feels like jail .... only worse 🙁.

You are just in the wrong field.

I work same night shift and slammed with work.

The upside is 8am comes around real fast.

I can see that being boring. I work in a NOC, I did not get trained on nights yet mostly because I'm still waiting for my accesses but eventually I'll do nights too. I'm working days right now. I'm actually looking forward to working nights. The thought of not having to get up early to go to work is awesome. Mornings are the hardest part of any work day. The nights and even days during the weekend tend to be very quiet, unless something breaks.

Agreed. If there was work to do at these hours I'd be fine, I like the job and the pay but it's these times I do get to wondering. Unfortunately I'm left staring at a wall or listening to nurses jibba jabba and be fake with each other. Sickening!

Thought nights would be great actually, less people to deal with and whatnot and I definitely like not having to wake up early. I did that for ten years which I enjoyed but mornings after nights I couldn't sleep were pretty tough. It's the quiet that actually kills me more than mornings. Guess it'll just take some getting used to while I look for something more challenging. Thing is it's a great job, pays well and my boss is awesome.

Decisions 🙁

I hope you don't just make Trouble Tickets.

A little investigation goes a long way.

I work night shifts. I work 12 hour shifts untill the last night which is 8 hours....80 hours, then a week off.

I've done it for the past 15 years, works for me🙂
