Anyone here still sleep on a water bed?

I slept on a nice king size for 2 years a little while ago. Very nice, cool in the summer, and warm in the winter with the use of a heater.

I had one until about 3yrs ago, when we moved into our new home. Don't miss it anymore, well, for sleeping anyway. It was different / fun for other activities w/ Mrs.Dman.

I used to have one, but sold it when I was in the dorms in the military, since I couldn't use it.
Now we just bought a 3" memory foam topper for our crappy old king size bed, and it's made a world of difference. I dig it

I just got one of those myself.

NICE!

My parents had one for years, and my dad built each of us (my brother and I one) a number of years ago, too. Theirs popped, and they got a regular bed to replace it; my brother and I got tired of ours and got rid of them.

are they as comfortable as a regular bed? i hear they are good for other activities...something about the motion of the ocean

I always wanted to bust out the OIL and PARTY HARDY on one.

Alas, I never got the chance. 🙁

Now the water bed is LONG gone.

I have one. Had it for about 10 years. You really can't tell it's a water bed. It has separate, waveless tubes, and a thick pillow top. Feels like you're sleeping on a cloud....at least it did when it was new. Getting some wear showing now.

They are cool every once in a while, but after a while I am sure it would feel like sleeping on a sack of urine. Anyways, last time I slept on one was probably about 8-10 years ago.
