hey guys. any skydivers here?

1) how did you get started?
2) how was the experience of getting licensed and diving afterwards?
3) is it possible to get it cheaper overseas like scuba diving?

🙂 thanks!

i hear the course is ~$1500 and fun dives are ~$20 each afterwards...if this is accurate...it's not exactly lotto money..

Hmmm I have heard it was a couple grand per hour just for training in wind tunnel and you needed a huge amount of hours. Maybe it was referring to something else.

Also can't forget the gopro cameras, the more you put on you, the more awesome it's going to be. 😛

Did it once. Was an awesome experience. People who say they want to skydive some day, just do it. Find a local place, sign up for the day and get it done.

Yeah, it's fun, but quick. I probably wouldn't pay to do it again, unless I got a discount.

I also found it was scarier thinking about the jump and the time leading to the jump in the plane -- than the actual jump itself. lol

Did it once (at the jersey shore), would not do it again. The jump was fine... scary of course but I was more or less just relieved to get out of that plane.

It wasn't far off from this, the thing barely fit 4 of us and they couldn't even get the door open (we had to circle back around to the drop point after the guy finally managed to kick the door open) --
