I just started shooting again after about a 5 or 6 year layoff, not sure why I ever stopped playing in the first place. Anyway thinking of buying my own table in a few weeks, any suggestions?

Agreed. I had one for 2 years and got tired of it after one month. I sold it next to nothing.

To do it justice, you need 20' X 16' free. You can have couches and stuff near it low, but no posts or tall crap.
That means 6' free all around the cushions of a 4' X 8' table.
Nice to get a light low over it, but make it easliy raisable if you want to play ping-pong on it.

I'm having my table delivered next Monday. When I made the purchase, the salesman included a 7' air hockey table to get me to upgrade to the next grade of billiards table. I probably spent too much money, but life is short and I've always wanted one.

Next item to add to the game room -> Foosball

Then a table tennis conversion top for the pool table.

Then Bubble Hockey.

Then Skee Ball.
