Just curious if you know if there is a way to turn off selling to APO addresses?

Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no problem at all with our military, but with heavier items shipping UPS Priority is prohibitively expensive (UPS Ground isnt an option for APO), enough so that an item I sold for $29 + shipping will net me a grand total of $10 after I paid for shipping and fees.

Have you considered shipping parcel post instead of priority? Priority is air-mail, designed compete with UPS/Fedex 3-day service, of course it's going to be move expensive than ground.

Parcel post can take up to 6 weeks for APO addresses, way outside the required delivery window for orders sold on Amazon. And by reading some posts on the subject, 6 weeks sounds like the normal for parcel post. So for APO, its pretty much Priority or nothing.

if it fits it ships? flat rate shipping via priority mail? or can't you just put it in your listing that if shipping to APO it will take up to 6 weeks?

"When you set up your shipping options, you’ll choose the regions and the types of shipping (standard, expedited, two-day and one-day) so that only those you choose are displayed for the buyer, but it’s always good to re-iterate those in your policies. Other decisions you’ll be making are whether or not to ship internationally or whether or not you can ship to post office boxes or APO/FPO addresses. If you cannot, it is often good to explain that so buyers understand their options as well. Again, not complicated but good customer service and good for the overall buyer experience."
