For my relgious studies class I have the option of "interviewing" someone who practices one of the eastern religions we studied for a paper option. Any of you guys practice or families practice buddhism, hinduism, or taoism and would be willing to answer some questions via aim, msn or PM?

Thanks in advance!

wasn't christianity invented in the middle east? you can make a very valid argument for it.....

I don't really go to class but from what i understand it has roots there 😀 We have a list of topics and an interview is one of them, seems easy enough besides my easy on Buddhism in Point Break 😛

I try to be a Buddhist, but not too good at it. I've been practicing for six years and before I moved I did have a group I sat with twice weekly, so my practice was indeed more than reading "Buddhism for Dummies" and saying "Om mani padme hum." So I think I know a pretty good chunk of things, but in no way am I a knowledgeable "expert" on it.

Yes, along with Judaism, Islam, Zoroastrianism, whatever the hell Baal is part of, etc.

exactly so.... isn't a "religion originating in eastern countries" oxymoronic?
