Anyone here play the board game Diplomacy?

It can be good with the right crowd. It's VERY long and rather abstract. If you like that kind of thing, you'll like Diplomacy.
I like abstract games but on a shorter, smaller scale (Carcassonne, San Marco, Web Of Power, Taj Mahal).
I dislike excessively long games, although I will suffer through a game of Age Of Renaissance on occaision.

It can get annoying if certain people can keep a grudge for pretty long.
If that is not the case it can be fun though.

Also try Nuclear War and Roborally if you like funny board games :)

If I'm playing with younger kids, it often becomes a shouting match. But with a good group it's very fun.

If you want to really backstab your friends, try Junta. Soooo much fun.

Actually it's ideal - start on Friday night, finish by Sunday.
