I just tried to download a demo from gamershell, and it wanted me to put in some sort of key. Is there any way to try this game out (even if its very limited use) for free? Is this game any fun? are there a lot of people playing on it?

This is a repost btw, I put this in the wrong forum the first time

no demos. they occasionally have free weekends where you can play for a weekend.

the game is pretty crappy anyway.

Why do you say its crappy? Is there lag? bad gameplay? not a lot of people play it? I've never seen the game in action or anything

i'm used to real RPGs where there's people everywhere. the community is 10x worse than WoW. Combat is boring.

that's because it's far more casual since you don't have to pay to play. aside from the initial cost of the game itself, you are in no way obligated to "get your money's worth" after the initial $ spent, since you don't pay each month. i think it's pretty good for what it is - though i agree that the community is a bit lacking (finding a party can sometimes be a b!tch). i play every now and then, and i have lots of fun :)

Well my only experience with MMO's was playing everquest for a week. I just didnt get into that. I generally really like RPGs, and I've wanted to have a decent multiplayer experience without breaking my wallet for a while now. I think I'll try it out ans see what its like

Guild Wars is a great game if you're not a loser and don't dedicate ur life to playing a MMORPG. i can pick it up and play it any time i want and not have to worry if i'm left behind. it's just like a regular RPG with towns that have some group missions and some PVP arenas. i probably only play it a total of 4 hours a week and you can find same level people no matter where you go. it's a good game and PVP is pretty fun. even though i've never won before it's still fun to PVP
