Anyone here play Combat Arms?

EDIT: 7/10/12. 4th anniversary of the game now, and it's now available on Steam, and is of course still free to play.

Combat Arms is a free to play first person shooter currently celebrating its 3rd anniversary.
For some reason, it's a lot more fun to play than I thought it would be, and I've been hooked since the start.

If anybody here plays, post your 'in game name' here, and we can meet up and play a few rounds. If any one of you play a lot and want to start a team, let me know.

My in game name is "Fap-Monster". Feel free to add me and give me a shout the next time you're on. I will be online tonight.

It's a lot of fun when you have good players around you, but sucks with kids in the mix or people who have no sense of what everyone else is doing.

This should definitely be an anandtech clan game though, lots of fun and completely free. BF play for free took over but these days I don't play either. Thanks for the reminder.

I used it, except there are WAY too many hackers that play it, making it pretty much pointless to play.

There are "WAY too many hackers" playing the majority of PC shooter games... that is why I prefere to play with a group of people I know. Also, having elite mod helps (I purchase elite mod), but isn't completely necessary because there is a vote kick option for even regular rooms.

i just tried War Inc tonight, not too bad. Enjoyed it more than combat arms. It's FTP on Steam and is in open beta. After an hour I'm level 7 with 78 kills and 35 deaths playing assault rifles only. Just like every other FPS... CAMPERS/SNIPERS GALORE. My first match 16v16 I was in first, which surprised me quite a bit. I am by no means a stellar player, but simple tactics (crouch, burst fire, sprint to cover, check your map, etc.) seems to work well.

What I meant was there seemed to be disproportionately more in Combat Arms than other more traditional shooters.

Of all the PC gaming I've played, I'd say I've ran into more hackers on Halo 2 than any other PC game. Although, I didn't play MW2. Dedicated servers and PunkBuster usually take care of 99% of the hackers.

Bump:

This is now FTP on Steam also. I still play, and would enjoy possibly making a clan with a few of you good AT fellows.
