Anyone here play Americas Army?

Thinking about downloading it but I can't find much info

When you play online, does one side take the terrorist side and the other take the army side? or how exactly does it work?

And do many people play the game?

No the other team always looks terrorist and you team looks US or indiginous

i played it for a month or two awhile back. I think both teams play as US soldiers but to you the opposing team looks like terrorists. There were tons of servers with lots of players when I played, unless theyve started charging for the game I don't think that wouldve changed much.

With the place I buy my servers from they charge $2.00 per slot on an Americas Army server, but $5.00 per slot on an Americas Army honor server. What's the difference?

I have the game on cd. My little brother got it from Puerto rico. Some army guy gave it to him. I never played it, nor installed it on my computer.

Variaty
Assault - Taking the datafrom a computer
Defense - Defending the computer

Assault - Reach the vans and trucsk to take the data
Defense - Stop the assault

Assault East- Control all 3 objectives
Assault West - Control all 3 objectives

That's pretty cool

I like how you have to get certifications etc.

yeah... but the beginning is annoying... basic training, qualifying for sniper training, etc. and some of the maps are pretty crappy imo. Insurgent Camp is my favorite

Is it hard to get people onto a non honor server?

Those are all cheat servers where people can put on godmode, flying, etc.

Personally - I only join honor servers as people cannot TK you without a big consequence.

Be aware that if you die in the first 10-30 seconds of the game, you'll be spectating for about 2-7 minutes
