anyone here own the Sony gold headset?

I ended up getting the gold headset and after 2 weeks started having issues with it popping and cutting in and out. When playing NBA 2k15 the mic would pick up the speaker output and start showing unrecognized command on the screen like I was trying to call a play and I didn't have the volume up loud.

Pretty disappointing, I ended up printing a return label and sent them back to amazon for a refund. So now I'm back to square one looking for a headset.

That sucks. Mine has been perfect but I don't sit super far from the TV.

If you don't have to have wireless consider pairing the Astro Mixamp with a headset designed for a PC with the separate mic and audio jacks. That's what I do with a Sennheiser PC360 for my PS4 and I couldn't be happier. It plugs in via USB for chat and Optical for Audio. Or you could get the combined package with the Astro A40. It will be more expensive.

I sit about 10 feet away from the TV and the ps4 is right under it. The ps4 is hard wired to the router which is about 15 feet behind the TV on the other side of a wall. I don't know if it's the single band WiFi in the headphones causing this or not but if I had to guess I'd say so.
My old turtle beaches were dual band and I never had a issue with them. I'll probably get that new wireless set they have coming out or just get a set of px4's
