Anyone here own an Airsoft gun?

I want to get one just to have some fun with my firends and things this august becuase they play a bit...

thinking about getting a classic army M15...anyone own that? realistic?

I have a $20 springer that I got at big 5 a while back. It's fun for a litle target shooting and I'm waaaay to cheap to buy a real (read: gas operated) airsoft gun.

yeah gas is cool for the recoil I hear, but electric offer more shooting and not having to buy a new gas conister or refil it every time you play...

i got a spring loaded airsoft. i use it to shoot my family members and my friends. its cool to hold. it looks/feels real.

I had a $40 electric for a while. It was very weak compared to the springer.

I've also fired a gas one before. That was extremely cool.

I have several guns some gas and some electric, the good ones not the cheep crap you get a toy store. I have been air softing for about two years now and its by far my favorite hobby. I am part of a reenactment group and we get together about once a month to play. This is a ling to the Airsoft Company I work with and some picks of my guns.

i have even seen some groups (must be really really rich) that get together once a year or 2 in CA for airsoft war games and even have fricken helo's and boats, and huvee etc...that would be like my dream vacation

I have a spring MP5. Suprisingly accurate, nice and powerful. Makes for a good night in: Beers, target shooting, a movie. great stuff.

I think the proper elecric guns are much more powerful, and there's nothing better than the feel of an automatic, even though you empty the clip in 8 seconds flat.

I couldn't be bothered with gas: you got to pay for it.

One of my roommates had a springer. I say had because it randomly fell apart into 3 seperate pieces while he was shooting one of my other roommates with it. To this day we contest that it was an act of god for attacking one of his chosen people.

My roommates are pretty into Airsoft.

One has a Tokyo Mauri (i think.. dont' remember but i think that's what he said) MP5. Electric Auto, it feels pretty neat and is fun to play around with.
He has a bunch of springers which he enjoys playing with, but compared to that auto MP5 *shiverS* hehe that thing can pierce skin at close range

UHC MP5 SD3 is supposed to be the best entry level springer on the market. You can get it for ~$40-$50. I have it and it is VERY accurate. Install a scope and it's really fun to shoot. Comes with detachable silencer and retractable butt. Go to any of the good airsoft forums and ALL of them would tell you to either go with a good springer, a good gas gun that shoots fast (USP), or save up for a QUALITY AEG.
