How was the experience? Are the food a little more expensive overall or are the prices the same but they charge you a service fee?

You can get some great deals on alternator-sized cuts of beef!

id figure you'd rather pick out specific fruits and meats in person, rather than blindly saying "9 apples and 3 pork chops .5lb each"
also you can check out the domestic hotties in store!

Angi orders online from Vons all the time, same prices, often better selection (they get the pick of the fresh items in the morning when loading up). Small service fee (but worth it to us vs gas and time saved)...

I do it all the time. Fruits, Veggies, and herbs are fresher then anything you'll find in the store. I use Peapod (Stop and shop), they take your stuff from the warehouse before it gets sent to the store. Sales are different then in store and prices are a little higher in general (or maybe sale prices aren't as low). Tip + delivery charge is around $10. You tend to buy less cause you don't buy crap, so you save $. One thing is on meat/fish you never get what you ask for. Usually you say about 1 pound and sometimes you end up with 0.75 and sometimes 1.5 lbs.

I do about 50/50 delivery and going to the store.

I use Peapod sometimes....it is really convenient and worth the time savings/hassle of going to the store. You do only buy what you actually need.
