Anyone here live in or around Charleston, SC?

This may be a shot in the dark, but I'm looking to move to Charleston from Charlotte, NC. My friend and I (both recent college grads) made a pact long ago to live at the beach so we're headed there very soon!

Problem is, we know noone down there, and are clueless where to begin. I'm hoping someone may be able to offer some ideas, like where to go for apartment searching in the charleston-metro area. We'd love to be as close to the beach as possible (of course). How is Folly Beach for starters?

If you want to live on the beach, then you hit the nail on the head.
Folly Beach is the place to be.

just a suggestion,
being on right on the beach is great-- but you may want to back off a little... Move to somewhere like Mt. Pleasant (only about 15 min from the beach) you'll be closer to the city, houses are cheaper, and when the big storms comes you might not lose everything.
