How's the service quality?
Do you have to register to use it?
Any interesting tales about it? It's gaining popularity and sounds pretty neat.

We have it covering downtown Tallahassee (about 12 blocks) around the state capitol complex and also at the airport. You have to provide an email address to use it. Works fine at the airport but I haven't tried it downtown. We've had the downtown part since 2002. It uses 802.11b.

The next city over (Grand Haven) has it. Never heard of anyone actually using it though.

I would.

They passed a Law here making it illegal for Municipal Cities to put up Wi-Fi because it would compete with the Monopoly BellSouth.

It doesn't matter that BellSouth doesn't cover the area with High Speed access because they might in the future. They did this just as a couple of towns just got phone service for the first time and neither of them are landline based, they put up a cell tower.
