Anyone here listen to MGMT?

Their sound is really funky but I like it a lot. It's like a mix of electronic, pop, and alternative. I initially got the album for electric feel and kids, but found out Time to Pretend is also by them. Plus I hella liked The Handshake and the one song about monsters.

Anyone else like them or is it just me?

Well I can say I'm one of the only ones who listens to coheed (my coworker turned out to be a fan as well after I let him borrow my cd). But i would wager it's hard for the general public to get into them. MGMT seems the same way.

Whenever I tell my GF to listen to strange, different music like this, she likes to remind me that I have "weird" taste in music by saying "Fake Plastic Trees!". Good to know your GF looks out for you.... :beer:

i saw them open for Beck a couple months ago.

For an opening act, they were actually pretty good.

"Electric Feel" and "Kids" are awesome songs. I was at a DJ set and they sampled "kids" and it was awesome.
