they sound like weezer because weezer has HUGE 70's and 80's influences. (the singer's favorite band is kiss, for instance).

No, when will people stop buying music that from the 60's and 70's THAT HAS ALREADY FVCKING BEEN MADE? They are a horrible band, who cannot sing live, who's singer cannot sing AND play guitar at the same time and who should be stopped at all costs. I think we can thank MTV's hype machine for making this pile of trash popular. The sheer fact that they were on Headbangers Ball takes all credit away from MTV that they had left.
