Anyone here like Coldplay? [pollage]

Yes I know it makes you gay to like coldplay. 40 year old virgin "your gay because you like coldplay" etc etc... Anyway of the few modern groups that I do like the sound of they are one of the few at the top of my list (Fix You being my fav single). I don't like much music in general and usually prefer classical music.

I liked the first two albums....everything else is just bloated nothing. th elast album was good at first, but after a few spins, it just got boring and your left with asking "and what?"....kind of like Oasis: Be Here Now.

This. Their response to the situation has been very dickscarferifish. Rather than making fun of JS and acting like he is a nobody, they could have found 100 different ways to deal with it and not admit they blatently stole it.

Something as simple as "damn.. joe's song does sound familiar"

They just didn't want to risk having to give up any earnings from the song, so they just blatently denied any wrongdoing.

I like Coldplay. It's weird, but I simultaneously hate/like Chris Martin's vocals. I don't think he's a particularly talented singer, but somehow his voice is good for their songs.

That's what they could have done. They could have not admitted anything, but taken a more positive approach like "what an awesome coincidence, let's do a new version with Joe Satriani, and MAKE more money on the damn song"

Instead the gave Joe a big middle finger and let themselves get ripped by the internet community who made the case for Joe.

I really like their first album (plus a lot of the B-sides from around then) and I still listen to it on occasion, except for the song Parachutes which is horrible. The second album is also very good, but I don't listen to it that often. The most recent 2 albums I could live without.

With that said, I don't care for them at all. Just flat out bores me.
